Kathmandu, Five people have died in separate road accidents occurred at various places of the country, including in Kathmandu, the Central Police News Room stated in its bulletin.According to the police news bulletin, a pedestrian, 43-year-old Bhuvan Gurung from Siddhicharan Municipality-9, Okhaldhunga, died after being hit by a motorcycle bearing registration plate number Ba Pra 02-060 Pa 1275 on the Koteshwor Herbal Road, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32.
Gurung was seriously injured in the accident on Monday night and he passed away this morning while undergoing treatment at the National Trauma Centre.
Similarly, a motorcycle with the number plate BR30U 4499 met with an accident near Thakurpokhari in Gausala Municipality-4, Mahottari, last night, resulting in the death of the 25-year-old rider Suvesh Kumar Yadav, a resident of Navarajpur, Municipality-3. Yadav, who was seriously injured in the accident, died while receiving treatment at the municipal hospital in Gausala.

Likewise, a bus with number plate – Province 01-006 Kha 6649 collided with a tractor bearing the number plate Province 2-01-001 Ta 1467 on the road near Vivek Petrol Pump in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-17, Sunsari this morning, resulting in the death of 18-year-old Uttam Sardar from Kanchanrup Municipality-5, Saptari, who was riding on the tractor. The drivers of both vehicles have been taken into police custody.Surendra Paswan, 22, a resident of Tejapakad, Municipality–3, who was riding the motorcycle BR 05 AH 2877, died when his bike collided with another motorcycle with number plate BA 81 Pa 6448. The accident occurred last night on the road at Paroha Municipality–6, Rautahat District. He died while receiving treatment at the Provincial Hospital Gaur after being seriously injured in the accident.

In addition, one person injured in the accident, who was riding a motorcycle with the number BA 81 Pa 6448, is receiving treatment at National Medical College Birgunj, and another person has been referred to Chitwan for further treatment. Similarly, Rinkudevi Thakur, 38, from Gamharia, Fatuwa, Vijaypur Municipality–5, died after falling off from a motorcycle with number plate Ma Pra 02–03–11 Pa 3508, which was going from Kathariya to Santpur. The accident took place last night on the road in Bahadurpur Tole, Kathariya Municipality–4, Rautahat. Thakur was seriously injured in the accident and died on the way to medical facility for treatment.
The police are conducting the necessary investigation regarding the accident, it is stated.
